      Bishop Museum's native plant arboretum is landscaped with plants of the farms and forests of Kona in the time before foreign contact. The Garden is open to drop in visitors and tours by appointment.

      The Garden is in Captain Cook, twelve miles south of Kailua-Kona on Highway 11. The entrance is on the mauka (uphill) side of the road, 50 yards south of mile-marker 110.
