Incorporated in 1968, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization that consists of 460 member businesses, organizations, and individuals representing a variety of industries in the Kona and Kohala Districts on Hawaiʻi Island. Known as West Hawaiʻi, this vast geographic area covers 1,309 square miles of the 4,028 square miles of the island. Many member businesses serve the entire island with its population of 200,000 as well as those that visit the island. The visitor industry is the main economic driver for the area, however, each district is distinct with its own geography and commerce.
