Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, debone, and portion meat and fish products according to specifications and safety standards
- Prepare products for packaging by slicing, filleting, or portioning to meet customer needs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and monitoring product freshness
- Handle food products safely, adhering to all food handling guidelines to prevent contamination
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries about product types and preparation methods when needed
Requirements
- Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently cut, debone, and prepare meat and fish products
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with meat cutting, fish filleting, or culinary preparation is highly desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining focus on precision tasks
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and presentation of products
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience in packaging or food processing is a plus
