Development Coordinator

Hourly pay starts at $22/hr (full time)

The Development Coordinator helps fulfill Hawaii Island Humane Society’s mission by contributing to and supporting HIHS’s Development and Donor Relations efforts. Functions of this role include gift acceptance and entry, data entry and integrity, and Database Administration, compiles and fulfills requests for reports and data analysis, and provides administrative and development operations support. This role also supports cultivation, stewardship, and retention of donors by responding to and resolving donor inquiries, donor outreach, maintaining strong stewardship systems, and engaging potential and existing donors via donor tours.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Experience in customer service, preferred.
• Passion for animals and their welfare
• 1-3 years of fundraising experience in nonprofit organizations, preference for those with Animal Welfare experience, preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a team
• Must possess effective communication skills and proficiency with technology and systems
