West Hawaiʻi Workforce Needs Project

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (KKCC) exists to provide leadership and advocacy for a successful business environment in West Hawaiʻi.  

The goal of the Education and Workforce Development Committee is to facilitate connections to promote opportunities between the education and business communities for the development of Hawaiʻi Island’s existing and future workforce.  

As the committee learned more about the education and training opportunities on the Kona-Kohala coast, it became apparent that academic institutions and training organizations would benefit from learning more about the needs of business owners and leaders in the community.  As a result, the committee conducted a workforce needs assessment in West Hawaiʻi.
