We have a new approach to family medicine, and it's called Direct Primary Care.
Direct Primary Care allows you to have a direct relationship with your doctor. For around the cost of a monthly cell phone bill, you can receive direct, primary healthcare services that are tailored to your individual needs. From your annual check-up to urgent care needs to general questions about staying healthy, Waiola Direct Care will be there for you!

In 2018, Dr. T. Scott McMurry began looking for a way to improve on how primary care could be delivered in the US. He recognized that the standard model was holding back doctors from truly connecting with their patients, which was preventing high quality care. After years of research and learning, he was able to connect with a robust network of doctors who were doing that very thing, and they called it Direct Primary Care.
 
 Starting in January of 2023, Waiola Direct Care has opened its doors to provide something new and valuable to the people of West Hawaii. We are using the lessons learned from the thousands of Direct Primary care practices that exist all over the US. We are working with local and healthcare businesses to help to lower the costs of care for our members. We want to restore the traditional Doctor/Patient relationship and provide the exceptional level of care that our community deserves.

 *Members are responsible for all fees associated with any medications, laboratory testing, and/or specimen analysis associated with the above services. Members submit charges from outside providers to their insurance plan for reimbursement consideration. Members are responsible for understanding the payment policies of their health insurance plans,  as we cannot guarantee coverage.
