• The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort Celebrates Grand Opening

    July 05, 2018
The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, which recently debuted under its new name on June 25, will be celebrating its highly touted Westin brand affiliation with a gala celebration and pool party on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15 respectively.

Following its nearly $50-million dollar renovation that reimagined its guestrooms and suites; introduced four new culinary concepts; and transformed the resort’s public spaces, the hotel’s grand opening event will celebrate the makeover. A portion of Saturday evening’s proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

On Saturday, July 14 a reception, dinner and after party will highlight all of the resort’s exciting upgrades. Tickets and table sponsorships are available for purchase online at www.WestinHapunaBeach.com or by calling 808-880-1111. A Sunday pool party for hotel guests will showcase the hotel’s central area renovations and will kick off with helicopter drop of 50,000 orchids.

“We are excited to be working with the American Cancer Society as beneficiary of our hotel’s grand opening,” said The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort hotel manager Tom Cross. “Cancer has touched nearly everyone’s life and we wanted to contribute in some way to all the good work that they do.”

The American Cancer Society offers numerous free programs and services throughout Hawaii including the Clarence T.C. Ching Hope Lodge in Honolulu which offers a free home away from home for Hawaii and Pacific-basin cancer patients and their caregivers. Nearly 60-percent of Hope Lodge use is by Island of Hawaii residents.

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort joins sister property Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the greater Mauna Kea Resort property, and remains owned and managed by Prince Resorts Hawaii. The two properties comprise a world-class resort and residential experience on the beautiful, sun-kissed Kohala Coast.  For more information, please visit www.westin.com; and for reservations call 1-888-977-4623.
