NETWORKING—Against the backdrop of a setting sun and breaking waves, the June AfterHours sprawled on the oceanside top lanai of Daylight Mind Coffee Company in Kailua-Kona’s Waterfront Row. The two-story restaurant, bakery and coffee roaster offered attendees a sampling of colorful pupus from its meeting and catering menu: fresh, seasonal fruit; veggie platters with homemade dip; plus a poke action station starring three types of poke and all the toppings.
Julie Pittman, director of events, says Daylight Mind in Kona offers a wide variety of on-site meeting options for businesses, fundraisers, concerts and art shows. The upstairs, complete with a bar and conference room, can seat 110 guests while a full-facility buyout can accommodate 400 attendees. Daylight Mind also has locations in Kona’s Lanihau Center and in Waikoloa at Queens’ MarketPlace. For details, contact events@daylightmind.com.
The next AfterHours is hosted by ProService Hawaii 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 (location to be determined). Signup at www.kona-kohala.com or phone 329-1758.
