Kona Commons Announces Coloring Contest Winners
Enthusiasts of All Ages Competed for $500 shopping sprees

Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i (April 9, 2022) – Three coloring enthusiasts from around the Island won $500 shopping sprees at Kona Commons for their submissions to a Coloring Contest held this Spring to celebrate the shopping center’s brand refresh.

Kona Commons unveiled new, imaginative imagery by artist Siena Baldi and then challenged artists to render their own colorful versions using a coloring book showcasing Baldi’s creations.

Winners in the three age brackets are:
    • Norah Passehl, winner of the 0 – 12-year-old bracket.
    • Alana Mast, winner of the 12 – 18-year-old bracket.
    • Nathaniel Tracy, winner of the 19+ year old age bracket.

Each winner walked away with gift certificates totaling $500 from various Kona Commons merchants.

The contest and branding refresh go hand-in-hand with the opening of four new stores this year, which will bring the center to 100 percent occupancy. Island Naturals opened its 15,000-square-foot market and deli on January 18. It was joined by Skechers, which opened April 7. The final two stores – Majestic Nails, and Aloha Grown – will open later this Spring.
