Na Leo TV: Youth Media Challenge
Nā Leo TV has launched its inaugural Youth Media Challenge to give Hawai‘i Island youth ages 11-24 a chance to share their perspectives on issues that matter most. It's one way we are supporting the emerging creative, media, and tech industries and building the workforce pipeline.
There are 13 themed categories to participate in – Support Local, Water, Ocean Preservation, Financial Literacy, Disaster Prep, Energy Resilience, Safe Transportation, Fentanyl Awareness, Community Safety, Digital Equity, Visit with Respect, Homeless Awareness, and Creating Peace.
Youth can submit a PSA, Short Film, or Digital Artwork for each of these categories. More details and ideas here. Deadline is fast approaching: Friday, April 19. If you know someone in this age range, we encourage you to submit a project. There is a goal to receive at least 500-600 entries. This is based on what O‘ahu's Youth Xchange receives each year for their program.
