    Makua Lani Christian Academy (MLCA) was established in 1992 for families desiring Biblical principles at the core of their child's education. In doing this, our commitment to our families is to maintain excellence and to maximize every student's potential intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually.     The academic program at Makua Lani is designed to provide students with a Christ-centered spiritual, academic, and physical foundation that will produce individuals who will be Biblical thinkers capable of serving the world for Christ. We help prepare graduates for admission into college and/or universities, as well as assist them in other post high school pursuits such as missions or the work force. Makua Lani is accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

    We realize that your children spend a large portion of their waking hours at school. We also understand the benefits of mentoring young people when we hear the powerful stories of teens whose lives have been changed by a single, caring adult. If you listen, those stories are everywhere. You likely have a story of a mentor from your own youth. Because of the positive effect mentoring has on youth development, we are purposeful in fostering healthy relationships between students and teachers, peers, and staff. Some of the opportunities include our Buddies Program matching 12th graders with Kindergartners, Prayer Groups, and Senior Internships at our Elementary Campus.
