• Luana Hospitality Appoints Eric Child as Director of Facilities Maintenance

    KAILUA-KONA, Hawaiʻi — Luana Hospitality announced the appointment of Eric Child as Director of Facilities Maintenance, overseeing facilities operations and maintenance across the company’s restaurant portfolio.

    In this role, Child is responsible for managing facility maintenance, infrastructure, and operational reliability across Luana Hospitality’s five restaurant locations, including Huggo’s, Huggo’s On the Rocks, Kai Eats + Drinks, Lava Lava Beach Club Waikoloa, and Lava Lava Beach Club Kauaʻi. His focus includes team leadership, preventive maintenance strategy, budget management, and ensuring all facilities are properly equipped to support daily operations and long-term growth.

    Child brings a diverse background in facilities management across multiple industries in Hawaiʻi. Prior to joining Luana Hospitality, he held facilities leadership roles at Aliʻi Health Center, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, and The Club at Hōkūliʻa, overseeing facilities operations across healthcare, aviation, and large-scale property environments. His background in managing complex, high-demand environments has shaped a practical and systems-oriented approach to facilities leadership.

    As he steps into the role, Child is focused on equipping his team with the tools, resources, and support needed to operate efficiently while maintaining strong cost controls. He also plans to refine departmental processes, implement improved technologies, and further advance a proactive, preventative maintenance model.
