KAILUA-KONA, Hawaiʻi — The Kona Hospital Foundation is proud to announce a contribution of $553,549.05 to support the development of the new Oncology Infusion Center at Kona Community Hospital, helping expand access to cancer treatment services for patients across West Hawaiʻi.

The gift includes a generous $250,000 donation from Milton and Ursula Stolaroff, whose commitment to cancer care is deeply personal. Nearly two decades ago, Mrs. Stolaroff received cancer treatment at Kona Community Hospital and experienced exceptional care during her journey. Grateful for the support she received and inspired by the hospital’s continued growth, the Stolaroff’s chose to make an additional investment in the future of oncology services in West Hawaiʻi.

“We are incredibly grateful to Milton and Ursula Stolaroff for their extraordinary generosity,” said Joei Feke, Executive Director of the Kona Hospital Foundation. “Their gift reflects the lasting impact that compassionate, high-quality healthcare can have on patients and families. Their support, combined with the generosity of our community, will help ensure that local residents can access vital cancer treatment services close to home.”

The remaining $303,549.05 was raised through Kona Hospital Foundation fundraising events and contributions from dedicated donors throughout the community. Together, these funds will help support the new Oncology Infusion Center, enhancing the hospital’s ability to provide comprehensive cancer care and improving the patient experience for those undergoing treatment.

“This project is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together around a shared vision,” said Feke. “Every donor, event participant, sponsor, and volunteer played a role in making this contribution possible. We are honored to help advance cancer care services for the people of West Hawaiʻi.”

The new Oncology Infusion Center represents a significant investment in the future of healthcare on Hawaiʻi Island, providing a modern, comfortable environment for patients receiving infusion therapies while supporting the growing need for cancer treatment services within the region.
