Officer of the Month Lunch is Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at HUGGO'S Restaurant, 11 a.m.
PLEASE RSVP to Linda Bollinger, email or text, by Monday July 1, 2024: wahinireba@gmail.com or text 916-284-8259)
1. First, on behalf of all, a huge “mahalo” to Barbara Kossow for her years of heading up the Kona Crime Prevention Committee. At the June luncheon, her final as President, we presented her with a mahalo gift from the committee members — a beautiful Waterford Crystal vase with a spectacular arrangement by Island Orchard Florist. Thank you, Barbara, for your years of service.
2. Our July 3, 2024 Officer of the Month luncheon will honor Officer Andrew Walters. Officer Walters investigated and managed an 8-car crash in Captain Cook, caused by a suspect driving a pickup truck—who left the scene. Officer Walters did an investigation, determined the crashes were likely intentional, and located and detained the suspect—who attempted to escape — but didn’t, thanks to Officer Walters. You’ll learn more about his work at the luncheon.
