The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) recently named Historic Kailua Village as one of its 2025 World Festival & Event Cities, recognizing global destinations that excel in building community pride, fostering cultural authenticity, and attracting visitors through exceptional festivals and events.
From the world-famous IRONMAN World Championship to the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival to Queen Liliuokalani Long Distance Canoe Races, Kona Brewfest, Kona Marathon, lively parades, concerts, and culinary gatherings, Historic Kailua Village is the heart of Kona’s celebration culture. Together, these events create a vibrant calendar that reflects Hawaii Island’s deep-rooted traditions and aloha spirit.
