    Hawai‘i Employers Council to Host Strategic Talent Retention Workshop in Kona

    KAILUA-KONA, Hawai‘i | August 7, 2025— The Hawai‘i Employers Council (HEC) will host a hands-on talent retention workshop titled “The Engagement Playbook: Strategies for Retaining the Right Talent” on Aug. 14, 2025, at the Thirsty Gecko Event Space at Kona Brewing Company. In today’s challenging job market, it’s critical to engage and retain the right talent already on your team.

    Designed for business owners, managers, HR professionals, and team leaders, this session will help Hawai‘i Island employers uncover what truly drives employee engagement—and how to build a workplace where people want to stay and succeed.

    Led by Talent Solutions Manager Tracie Foglia, the workshop will offer real-world tools and insights to help leaders build trust, conduct meaningful career conversations, and implement effective engagement strategies.

    “Engagement isn’t just about keeping people happy—it’s about creating purpose and connection at work,” said Foglia. “This session will help leaders uncover the ‘why’ behind their workforce and take practical steps to retain the right talent.”

    Participants will receive HEC’s exclusive Career Discovery Talk Story Tool, a take-home engagement playbook, and the opportunity to connect with other Hawai‘i Island leaders facing similar workforce challenges.
