• Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island Receives Funding for Critical Home Repair from Lowes International

    Kailua Kona, Hawaii, January 27, 2023 – Sandy, a resident from Kona faced a major hurdle – she needed to replace her roof or she wouldn’t be able to get homeowner’s insurance. Through the generous funding from Lowes International, Habitat for Humanity
    Hawaii Island was able to replace her 30+ year old roof and solar hot water system. Sandy could now get her home insured.

    For nearly two decades, Habitat for Humanity International and Lowe’s have worked together to build and improve safe, decent and healthy homes around the world. Today, Lowe’s and Habitat announced a renewed focus of their partnership to support home repair and rehab projects undertaken by local Habitat for Humanity organizations across the U.S. 

    “Lowe’s has partnered with us on different projects here on Hawaii Island and have made an impact in our community,” said Patrick Hurney, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island. “We are grateful for this generous grant and Lowe’s continued support of our efforts to help families have a safe and decent place to live.”
