QNHCH will offer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11 years

VACCINATIONS FOR AGES 5-11 YEARS
KAMUELA, HI – Starting Monday, November 8, QNHCH will offer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11 years. Vaccinations will be provided to those age 5-11 years on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 1 – 6 pm, at the QNHCH Vaccination Clinic with no appointment necessary; 1-6 pm is reserved for ages 5-11 ONLY. There is no weight minimum for ages 5-11 and proof of age is not required. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and remain with the child throughout the vaccination and observation process.
First-time Vaccinations: QNHCH continues to offer the Pfizer vaccination to those 12 and older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The QNHCH Vaccination Clinic is open to ALL ages 12 and up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7 am – 12 noon with no appointment necessary; no children ages 5-11 years are allowed during this timeframe.
Booster Shots: QNHCH offers the Pfizer booster shot to those people who are six months beyond their final Pfizer or Modena vaccination, or two months beyond their J&J vaccination, AND are immunocompromised, age 65+, long-term care residents, age 18-64 with specific underlying conditions, or adults at high risk of disease from occupational exposures such as health care workers and teachers. Booster shots are available during regular vaccination clinic hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7 am – 12 noon with no appointment necessary.
Testing: With volume down significantly and numerous options available in the community, drive-up COVID testing will no longer be available at QNHCH on weekdays for the general public starting Monday, November 8. Testing will continue to be offered to emergency room patients as needed.
