Aloha Theatre Announces Auditions and Workshop for Mary Poppins, Opening the 2027 Mainstage Season
October 26, 2026
KAINALIU, HAWAI‘I — Aloha Theatre invites performers of all ages to audition for Mary Poppins, the first production of its 2027 Mainstage season. Auditions will be held Monday, November 23, and Tuesday, November 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. An audition workshop will also be offered on Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., providing performers with an opportunity to prepare for this practically perfect theatrical adventure.
The production offers a wide variety of roles for children, teens, and adults, welcoming performers with a range of vocal abilities, acting experience, and dance skills.
From the outside, George and Winifred Banks seem to have it all: a beautiful London home, important roles in society, and a household staff that is (sometimes) up to par. But their pursuit of perfection, precision, and order has left the family increasingly disconnected. When their children, Jane and Michael Banks, scare away yet another nanny in their fight for their parents’ attention, a spectacularly practically perfect nanny arrives to change everything.
With the help of her friend Bert and a little magic, Mary Poppins helps the Banks family—and the whole of London—rediscover the importance of caring for one another. Filled with beloved characters, memorable music, imaginative choreography, and a heartwarming message, Mary Poppins reminds audiences that with a little hope and perseverance, anything can happen.
