Grocery Department Manager / ChoiceMART Supermarket

We are seeking an experienced Grocery Department Manager to manage the Grocery Department of ChoiceMART Supermarket.

• Manage and monitor daily grocery department operations and overall conditions of the department,   
• Manage department inventory, pricing, and merchandising,
• Plan and place orders and interact with vendors, suppliers, and distributors,
• Monitor product display, signage, promotions, and inventory while maintaining a quality store appearance,
• Monitor product costs and labor to retail markups/margins,
• Provide excellent customer service experience, handle customer complaints, feedback, and inquiries,
• Train new team members, encourage team performance and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team,
• Direct and supervise department staff,  
• Arrange work schedule for department staff. 

Requirements:

• Prior working experience managing grocery store, supermarket, or retail store,
• Effective verbal and written communication skills,
• Ability to direct and manage staff and collaborate with other team managers,
• Inventory management, scheduling and ensuring the department hits its sales targets,
• Plan and coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring all operations run smoothly,
• Strong critical thinking skills,
• Budgeting, price-setting, and reducing wastage.
