A Time to Give – Mahalo to our Chamber Members!

Each year, our Chamber members come to our Holiday AfterHours with gifts in hand to donate to Family Support Hawaiʻi – an organization whose mission is to support families and communities in providing love and care for children.

“We are very grateful to the Kona-Kohala Chamber for their generosity,” explains Caleb Milliken, Director of the Fatherhood Initiative with Family Support Hawaiʻi. “These toys will bring joy to the keiki (children) in our community during this holiday season.”

Milliken counted 125 toys donated by Chamber members that will be distributed at Family Support Hawaiʻi Fatherhood Initiative's annual 'Christmas with our Keiki' event. 

When greeting members at AfterHours, Executive Director of the Kona-Kohala Chamber Wendy Laros noticed that “our members really put some thought into bringing the right gift from Lego sets for girls and boys to classic board games and children's books.” She continues, “We are very happy we can connect to the children in our community this time of year through Family Support Hawaiʻi. They do good work.”

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce exists to provide leadership and advocacy for a successful business environment in West Hawaiʻi. The organization works to strengthen the economy and promote the community to enhance the quality of life.
