Explore bachelor’s degree programs during UH Transfer Day events, Feb. 26 and 27 (Palamanui) Interested in earning a bachelor’s degree? Then come to the UH Transfer Day events happening Tuesday, February 26 and Wednesday, February 27 at Hawai‘i Community College campuses in Hilo and Kona. Dozens of representatives from academic programs and student services departments from UH Hilo, UH Manoa and UH West O‘ahu will be there to talk with students about options for earning a bachelor’s degree. Hawai‘i CC representatives will also be on hand to talk about the degree pathways between Hawai‘i CC and the four-year campuses. Hawai‘i CC offers several degree programs that are designed specifically for students who want to earn their associate degree at Hawai‘i CC and then transfer to a UH four-year campus. The UH Transfer Day events are perfect for Hawai‘i CC students who are thinking about transferring, and they are also free and open to the public. The events will feature giveaways and free food. UH TRANSFER DAY EVENTS AT HAWAI‘I CC HILO The event will happen in and around the Cafeteria (Building 382) on the Manono campus from Tuesday, February 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Complete a UH Transfer Day Passport and get free pizza (while supplies last from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m.). Giveaways! Take a selfie at the selfie station and share your future plans with the world!
PALAMANUI (KONA) The event will happen in the breezeway between the Koali and Panini buildings. Wednesday, February 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Complete a UH Transfer Day Passport and get giveaways and a free chili bowl or food voucher (while supplies last from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m.).
GET “AUTO-ADMITTED” ON THE SPOT Hawai‘i CC students graduating with an A.A. degree or selected A.S. degrees were offered automatic admission to UH Manoa, UH Hilo, or UH West O‘ahu on February 1, in their STAR account. Under automatic admission, students do not need to fill out a paper application, have the application fee waived, and are given priority registration. The deadline to accept is March 1. Not sure which campus to attend? Come to the UH Transfer Day event, where you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from UH Hilo, UH Manoa, and UH West O?ahu and learn more about their academic programs. After meeting with representatives, you can accept your Auto Admissions on the spot and announce your transfer plans at our selfie-station.
