    Join us Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 6-8 PM at the West Hawaii Civic Center Council Chambers for this month's West Hawaii Forum where we will discuss the history of how things began on Maunakea in the mid 60’s and where we are today. It will provide information on management of Maunakea since 2000, including the establishment of community-based management of Maunakea, and Office of Maunakea Management’s initiatives and efforts to responsibly steward the 12,000+ acres of UH managed lands on Maunakea. It will also present UH’s path forward in an increasingly challenging social and political climate that requires not just action but new ways of thinking about stewardship, planning, engaging and decision making while honoring Maunakea for generations to come.
