About West Hawaii Community Health Center
West Hawaii Community Health Center (WHCHC), a leader in delivering outstanding patient-centered health care, is a community-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with six sites dedicated to providing high quality affordable health care to the western half of Hawaii Island. Our mission is to make quality, comprehensive and integrated health services accessible to all, regardless of income. We are dedicated to offering services that are culturally sensitive and promote community well-being through the practice of malama pono (caring for others in a way that is right).

Geographically, the service area of West Hawaii Community Health Center stretches from Kawaihae to Ocean View, a span of 80 miles long and 6 miles inland. Of the approximate 60,000 individuals who live in this area, approximately 22% (13,500) are WHCHC patients, a vast majority of them from minority nationalities: native Hawaiians, Hispanics, Micronesians, and other Pacific Islanders. The patient population includes men, women and children from infants to seniors, and the hard-to-reach and at-risk individuals who are in great need of our services.

With the opening last summer of our new, larger health care facility at Kealakehe and the addition of new medical, dental and behavioral providers, we have increased our capacity to care for more patients throughout our clinics from Waikoloa to Kailua-Kona to Kealakekua. To make an appointment at Kealakehe, please call: Medical 355-5600 or Dental 355-5650. Big Island BeesTRANSPARENTABOUT BIG ISLAND BEES:

Our family has been producing honey on the Big Island since 1972, selling only honey made by our own bees. You'll find our honeys have a more intense flavor profile than conventional honey, because they are produced from a single floral source and aren't heated or filtered. And because we raise our bees organically, and never feed them artificial sweeteners, our bees produce better quality honey.

Join our beekeeper for a fun and educational exploration about bees, photo laryssa sampling honey beekeeping, and honey, where from behind a safe, screened viewing area, you can view an open beehive demonstration with our bees. Explore actual hives and learn where the queen resides, how the hive is organized, and what makes bees so special and interesting.

Visit our museum to view tools, pictures, and displays to learn about the history of beekeeping and honey production. And, enjoy free sampling of our delicious, raw, single-floral, organic honeys while you explore. Visit bigislandbees.com or call 808-328-1315 for more information.

ABigIsland BrewhausBOUT BIG ISLAND BREWHAUS:

We work tirelessly to create handcrafted beers that are among the best in the planet and our food is crafted to compliment our world-class beer; our mission includes sourcing sustainably and supporting locally. Our close work with local farmers, ranchers, fishermen, bakers, bee keepers and artisan cheese & ice cream makers helps us to proudly bring you the best products available in Hawaii.

We consciously commit daily to using products with minimal environmental impact: all of our fresh fish is line caught with no bycatch, our local grass-fed beef is hormone-free, the produce we serve is grown by local farmers whenever possible. Our spent grain and food waste feed local cows & pigs, we take care to reduce & recycle and long before it was a law, we were using only compostable to-go packaging. We care deeply about our ohana, our island and our planet and hope you appreciate our efforts to care for them. For more info, please visit bigislandbrewhaus.com or call 808-887-1717.
