Issue
The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce has long recognized that land planning and land use along with infrastructure planning and implementation are complex, often convoluted, and all too frequently frustrating and ineffective.
Thus, we supported the bold move by the Planning Director and Administration to reactivate Community Development Planning. We applaud the huge contribution of brain power, persistence and dedication contributed by volunteer Steering Committees for each of the regional plans. Position
KKCC generally supports and endorses the planning concepts put forth in the Kona Community Development Plan. Our concerns center on:
